A week of FIRSTS!

Let me just start tonight's post by saying how much we love and adore Jason and Aurelia Stratton!  I entered Lucy Lu in their "Blessings Contest" this past spring.  They were so generous enough to give her a free session and a free metal print.  Because I couldn't pass up the opportunity I also booked a mini session with Will so we would have new pictures of the both of them.  Anyway on the morning of their session not only did I send them to the wrong location but I was late!!!  They were very patient and kind.  They took some shots of our whole family.  This past week they posted just a sneak peek of the pictures and let me just say, I CAN'T quit looking at them!!!  They captured our family so well...the joy, attitudes, happiness, silliness and love!  SO excited to see the rest of their work!  Thanks again Jason and Aurelia for giving us such a wonderful gift!

Speaking of silliness...behold the new sheriff in town!

In other news...William got his first goose-egg this past week.  I'm ashamed to say I didn't see the fall happen.  But Lucy told me allllll about it.  Apparently he was climbing up into a chair and tried to turn around to sit down only didn't quite make it.  He fell face first onto the concrete...forehead hitting first and then scraping his nose on the concrete as well.  I was horrified to see his face.  BUT in two years this is our first big head injury...that's not too bad!  Below are some pictures of his battle scars.  Poor guy!

This little lady is going to SCHOOL!!!  Lucy got a letter in the mail inviting her to Pre-K this year.  We had her screened back in March but hadn't heard anything.  I was sure she was probably just to young to be accepted but we got the letter in the mail last Friday.  Mrs. Kendra Bowen's afternoon Pre-K class...LOOK OUT!!!  We are so proud of our BIG girl ;(  (where has the time gone?!?)

This past weekend we went rafting on the Black River with Tyler's siblings and significant others!  We had a fantastic time!  I LOVE being on the river...it's beautiful and calming.  Well, not in the middle of the day when there's a million people around yelling and having a good time.  Oh, it's fun then...just not too relaxing.  BUT we had the luck of getting a campsite STEPS from the river!  It was awesome.  Both mornings I headed down to the bank with my lawn chair and waded into the cool water.  It was so refreshing.  I had a lot of time to think...and THANK my God for all the things he has given us!  I can't wait to go back next year! :)

Me and my guy headed to the Black River
I've always loved bridges like this...don't know why

Happy Birthday D-Man...We love you!

Look how clear the water is!!!
Look how beautiful the sky is!!!

Finally....LOOK WHO GOT A BIG BOY BED!!!!!   So proud to report that William is sound asleep in his new bed as I type this!  I swear that kid makes me the proudest mom alive!  There is nothing that kid won't do.  He's so polite and kind....and if he is upset over something I can explain it and he immediately calms down.  Tonight at dinner I said, "Will, do you want a new big boy bed."  He said, "no."  I asked him why and he replied, "because."  So I explained to him that he was going to be two this weekend and getting to big for his bed so it was time to upgrade to a big boy bed.  He responded, "oh, ok."   LOVE him!

SO big!

Awwww...sister/brotherly love ;)
