The Birthday Boy!

Today is Will's 2nd Birthday!  It has been a wonderful day!

Two years ago today I was cuddling my new born son right about now.  He was born around 2:30 in the afternoon on a beautiful July day.  Will has been a surprise to me from conception...if you catch my drift ;)  BUT despite his "early" arrival in our life he has been everything I never knew I wanted!  I wasn't ready for a second baby but when he came he fit in so well...he made our family complete!  Will has been pleasant and loving since birth.  He's a very 'go with the flow' type of kid. Tyler and I are most thankful for him!  He gives a reason to smile and thank God every day!

Today we celebrated Will's second year of life by having a spaghetti/Thomas the Train/Spiderman par-tay!  It was just our family and we had a ball!  Will made out like a bandit with toys,  a Thomas the Train train set with matching carrying case, underwear, new boots, big boy sheets, a new toy vacuum (his FAVORITE gift by far...thank you Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Stephen!), movies, books, a puppy play-doh set, clothes and money, money!!!  He opened the vacuum first and then kept asking after every gift..."Where's my vacuum?!?"  I thrilled he likes to clean!  I hope that never wears off  ;)

This little lady got a WONDERFUL report from her doctor at St. Louis!  He said her leg looks wonderful inside and out.  She's finally walking completely normal...she's running, playing, jumping!  After her appointment on Friday Aunt Adrienne, Ben, Lucy, Will and I all took a little trip to Monkey Joe's.  If you haven't heard of it...look it up it's cool.  All it really consists of is multiple jumpy houses...different sizes, heights, etc.  Some with slides some with animals you can jump on and crawl under.  It's a pretty cool place to wear a kid out at ;)  Anyway, with Lucy being my new little dare devil it was so fun to see her climb to the top and slide down with her hair flying all different directions and that beautiful smile stretched across her face!  She's one of a kind ;) 

Thank goodness a new movie...we've got to get off of Despicable Me!

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

My very good friend Meredith is having her baby boy....TUESDAY!!!  She has been such a trooper...especially in this heat!  I'm SO proud of her!  She'll be an amazing mom!  Like any new mother-to-be she is overwhelmed by the what-ifs.  I can totally relate...but I'm sure that given a few days and she'll be an old pro!  I don't know what it is about having your own child but it changes everything...somehow you just know what to do.  I love being a mom and I know Meredith will too...AND I'm so thrilled we'll get to share our boys birthdays together for a very long time ;)
