Easter 2011

O.K. so it rained all Easter weekend...I don't care!  What a GREAT weekend we had!!!

Tyler and I BOTH had Good Friday off...we decided to travel to Marshall to see Kevin and Julie.  They are ALWAYS coming to Flora to see us so we decided to drive up to see them this time.  We stayed Friday night and had a blast!  The kids always love going there...they tend to get away with a bit more than they do at home ;)  Saturday morning we had brunch with the Moore's and Grandma Betty.  I got to have my Charlie fix and filled my belly so I was happy!  I like seeing everyone else too...he just happens to be my favorite at the moment.

Saturday afternoon we came home and Tyler went to have dinner with his dad and siblings.  Lucy, Will and I went to my mom and dad's.  My Uncle Greg (my mom's brother) and his partner Ric were visiting from San Antonio, TX AND my Aunt Christine and Uncle Rick were visiting from Chicago.  I LOVE it when my mom's siblings visit.  They are such a riot and I simply laugh until my stomach hurts.  I don't see them nearly enough so when they are around I usually can't get enough of them!

Sunday morning the Easter bunny visited Lucy and Will and then we went to church.  It was a beautiful service!  I sat in front of Miss Elle Knapp...that little 8lb. 4oz baby is a miracle!  Dr. Don Bunnell spoke words I needed to hear...and my heart was full!  I am so very thankful for the sacrifice that Jesus made on that cross for my sins...I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for giving his only son...I couldn't.  My brother-in-law sang the most touching song...I cried and I looked to the Heavens rejoicing in the life I have been blessed with.

The rest of the day I spent with my mom's family again...we had lunch and sat out of the back deck enjoying the breeze.  Mid afternoon my family started yet another game of Blitz, their favorite card game.  I don't like to play but I like to sit and listen to the conversations and laughter that fills the whole house.  Sunday evening my cousin and her husband and baby came to visit from Virginia.  Alex is my Uncle Greg's only daughter.  She isn't much younger than me but seeing her this visit was different somehow.  She seemed older, wiser and I was in awe of her.  She is a very good mom and as I sat and talked with her about her job, about being a mom and just about life in general I was SO proud of her.  My children on the other hand are in love with her little boy, Paxton.  He is a delightful baby...I was very glad to see them!

I LOVE this bunny!!!
...this one is ok too ;)
My Will all decked out for Easter fell asleep on the way to Easter dinner...he is beyond precious!  I did not get ONE picture of Lucy in her Easter dress...I have no excuses.
