No excuses.

I have no excuse for my absence except for the fact I'm lazy!  I simply haven't made time to keep this updated.  So I need to travel back in time here to fill you in on what's been going on...

Our Illinois visit for Christmas was awesome!!!  We had the best time but of course it wasn't nearly long enough.  We spent time at all of the usual places and made a few special visits!  Angie one of our favorite people and Lucy and Will's old sitter had a surgery in December.  We have all missed her so much and we couldn't wait to see her.  We went to church for Christmas Eve service and really enjoyed being back with our amazing church family.  It was a wonderful Christmas filled with thanks and remembrance and rejoice!  We are a blessed bunch...often times I believe more than deserved :)  Below are a few pics from our visit.

HILARIOUS!  The four before the gifts...they didn't look nearly this tired 15 minutes after this picture!

Lucy getting excited about what Santa brought!

My daddy...that laugh makes my heart sing!

I love this pic for SO many reasons...we had just woke up, Tyler's eyes are NEVER open and Landon and I look half asleep ouselves!

The Moore gang!
January was a whirlwind...but wonderful!  I have been working a lot.  I love my job but it is intense.  I work for a steel warehousing company that processes steel coils and either cuts them into smaller coils or makes them into sheets.  It is an awesome company to work for but the knowledge I need to do the job and do it well is overwhelming.  Let's face it I know NOTHING about steel!  But, I'm learning...quickly :)  My job is a customer service job.  We ship steel to companies all of over the south that manufacture products made of steel.  My biggest customer supplies parts for BMW, Mercedes and Ford.  It's a neat job, but I'm tired after looking at a screen all day that getting on the computer at night usually seems out of the question.

I've also been fighting a sore back that flared up around Christmas...I finally got in to see a doctor that wanted an updated MRI to see how things are doing back there since my surgery in 2001.  Well....come to find out things don't look so great back there.  I'm going to have some injections to try and give myself some pain relief so I can start some therapy.  Hopefully I can get it under control before it warrants another surgery.  We will see...my first injection is this coming Wednesday.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Anyhoo, after not feeling so well and being overwhelmed at work there is really only ONE remedy to help the situation...MOM!  I had been down, homesick and not feeling well.  I called my mom and dad and the next weekend they came to visit and brought  my sister Margaret as a bonus!!  We had a wonderful time...we shopped at Target, drove around to check things out and relaxed together.  It was awesome and just what I needed.  I don't care how old you are...you ALWAYS need your Mom and Dad!

Then the most exciting thing is that my whining must have really done the trick because the very next weekend Kevin and Julie, Tyler's parents, visited...their bonus was Madeleine Rose!  WE had a ball!  We painted toes and pictures, we rode bikes and ate doughnuts...we had a blast!  Maddie was very good and loved being here!  I hope her mom and dad bring her back soon along with her sweet baby brother! :)

Now it's Fantastic February which means only one thing for the Moore family...BIRTHDAY PARTY GALORE!!!!  Michael, Kevin, Charlie, Tyler, and Maddie all share birthdays within a week period right in the middle of Feb.  It's usually an awesome week with lots of cake and company but this year it has been a little different.  We are celebrating from afar with singing phone calls and cards in the mail.  It isn't quite the same but we are making do.  Yesterday was OUR favorite Dad's birthday, Tyler Moore turned 28 years young and we celebrated with a cookie cake and a trip to Red Lobster!  It was fun but we sure do miss our Illinois party animals!
