Chi-Town with the Girls and Fall Fun

My mom and my sisters and I all went to Chicago last weekend to see my Aunt Chris and Uncle Rick. Our plan was to have no plans! We did get tickets to see a show at the theater. My Aunt recommended Billy Elliot. I had never heard of it but it was awesome. Great dancing, amazing singing and an all around feel good show. I know without a doubt that if I did not have the life I have now I am sure I would be in a theater somewhere...

The weekend was wonderful...it was so nice to be with all of my favorite women. I truly am lucky to have the family I do. We were meant to be together. I haven't laughed as much this whole past year as I did last weekend with all my girls! They are a riot! Below are some pictures...

My mom and Aunt Chris
two of my very favorite ladies in the whole wide world

My sisters and I
I can really tell in this picture that I DO in fact look like the oldest when in reality I'm the youngest. Anyway, I love this picture because I'm not sure when the last time we had one taken of just the three of us. They are my very best friends...I talk to them daily and absolutely don't know what I'd do without them!

We have had some really amazing weather this week...I'm thankful because today Tyler, Lucy, Will and I got the yard cleaned up and managed to spend some wonderful quality time together! Lucy and Will had fun playing in the leaves. Will carried all the pumpkins from the front step to the middle of the yard where I suppose he thought they should be. Lucy helped me chop some crazy limbs off some of our shrubs...then I put the choppers (I don't know what you call them) down and Will promptly found them and thought they'd be a good play toy. I'm going to have to really watch that boy. Last week I left him for a second and he got out the back door, out the breezeway door and it just so happened the big garage door was open and so he made his way down the driveway and onto 3rd street which just so happens to be one of the busiest streets in town. I caught up to him and he screamed when I picked him up like....HEY lady, leave me alone, I've never made it this far! OH my!

Lucy Lu on the other hand is growing up way too fast! She's sassy and smart. She remembers EVERYTHING you tell her and EVERYTHING you do. I can't say the word stupid without getting a scolding...if I tell her something trying to bribe her it had better be something I can carry through on because she'll be asking me to pay up AND she's very good at disiplining Will but seems to always forget when it comes to her behavior.

I'm reading this book, I'm sure everyone in the world knows it, Eat. Pray. Love. Anyway, the picture on the front is Julia Roberts sitting on this bench. About a week ago Lu asked me who the lady was on the front of my book. I told her Julia Roberts. She said, "that's not Julie Robbers." I told her no, it was Julia Roberts. So fast forward to last night...Tyler, Lucy and I were in our room folding clothes and Lucy got the book down and said, "oh, it's Nana Robbers." And I said no...and she interrupted me and corrected herself, "it's Julia Roberts." She so stinking smart...and animated....I wonder where she gets that?!

Will with the choppers...and he looks a bit drunk...now THAT could be dangerous!
