But I
JUST found my USB cable to download my pictures. So some of these are from October! But they are worth sharing :)
We have had a great week. The kiddos and I have relaxed, explored, cleaned...fought, cried, smeared lotion on the walls, "washed" a whole box of Kleenex...you know ALL the fun stuff! Thursday we had Tyler's boss and his family over for dinner. It was great! The food was good, the company was better and Lucy and Will have made a wonderful new friend in their daughter Rhylee!
Friday we finally talked Tyler into taking us out on our first South Carolina date! He obliged us by taking us to a nice little place called FATZ Cafe...it was AWESOME! And I can see that if you make it part of your regular habit to go there you could end up being quite FATZ. Anyway, the bread was wonderful (my mom and sister Margaret would DIE for these rolls!) fried green tomatoes were to die for and the Parmesan crusted chicken penne pasta was delicious! AND they had the best sweet tea I have found YET in the south. After we STUFFED ourselves we took a little drive. We found a few blow up Santa's and a few dream houses we could have imagined ourselves decorating in a few years.
When we got home we found that Santa had made a "special delivery" to the Moore house a little early this year! Two VERY cool bikes with Lucy and Will's name written all over them (little assembly required.) To give you a little bit of back story...when Tyler first moved in our neighbor Jocelyn (age 7...I think) welcomed Tyler with open arms on the first day! He fell in love with the family. They have been OVERLY kind to us and made us feel right at home. Anyway, Jocelyn has a little sister Jada and she has a bike that Lucy and Will argue over. Poor Jada was having to put up a fight just to ride her OWN bike. So...Santa being the clever little guy...or gal ;) he is found two bikes...for $29 dollars at Wal-Mart! What a steal! And delivered them RIGHT to our door so Jada, Lucy AND Will would all have a bike to ride!!! (p.s. they
STILL fight over Jada's bike.)
Today was just as awesome...for MOST of us! This morning we made a trip to Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Then took a little drive to check out an area we hadn't been to before. Everything was smooth until we pulled back into our OWN parking lot and Lucy said (very calmly), "Um, Mom, think I'm gonna be sick." And yep she sure was. WHO doesn't LOVE revisiting chocolate milk?! I should have known better. Lesson learned...again. Mid-morning drives and Lucy DO NOT MIX.
The wonderful thing about Lu is that she recovers SO quickly from being car sick. From the moment she spewed her milk into the van trash can...to the moment she kicked off her first round on her bike for the day was about 5 minutes...ALL of which involved a complete costume change AND wash down. :) She's a pro!
In the afternoon the kids had a blast playing with the neighbors...and I had a blast hanging out with their moms! Lottie and Aston are our neighbors that have so warmly welcomed me into their weekend get-togethers. I love the both...they have answered ALL of my lingering questions about...everything. I feel at home with them. They make me happy and thankful.
After naps (for everyone!) we went to the park with Steve and Rhylee! I have fallen in love with that kid! She is the sweetest kid. She has a beautiful smile and the cutest little accent. I don't know what we would do without the Malott's! What an awesome family that we are so glad to know. We spent almost TWO hours at the park. Until the sun started to set and the kids started to get cranky! It was great :)
Now it's after dinner and we're all relaxing with Megamind. (I think we always watch that movie because TYLER loves it...but that's ok, the rest of us like it too...he's just he only one that belly laughs for LONG periods of time)
These first few pictures are some of my friends from high school...I recently had my 10 year class reunion! Not many of them showed up but we had a great time and it was so good to see everybody...below are a few of my favorites!
